Who can apply for this home loan?

This offer is available to new and existing customers who are borrowing new money of $250,000 or more.

“New money” refers to funds that are new to Cairns Bank. This includes:

  • Home purchases
  • Refinancing from another lender
  • Existing Cairns Bank members borrowing additional funds.

 

The minimum new loan amount, or increase to existing borrowings, must be at least $250,000.

It does not apply to simply changing the rate on an existing loan without increasing the loan amount.  

Yes. The rate is fixed for 1 year. This provides you certainty in a changing interest rate environment.

When your fixed rate period comes to an end, your loan will revert to the applicable variable interest rate.

However we will also contact you to discuss your options and help you choose what works best for you at that time.

To be eligible for this special offer, the loan must be approved and funded by 30 June 2026.

In simple terms, it’s not enough to just apply — the loan needs to be fully processed, approved, and funded by this date to lock in the special offer rate.

Absolutley. Existing members can access this offer as long as their borrowing meets the eligibility requirements.
