Due to the advice from Government and Health authorities in regards to enforcing social distancing and avoiding unnecessary contact, we are encouraging customers to review their own circumstances and minimise their branch visits and the risk associated with them.
We appreciate that a number of people are concerned about their banking during the current coronavirus arrangements.
We have collated the following information in response to enquiries that we have received.
Will the branch stay open?
The short answer is Yes.
Current government guidance is that banks are an essential service and will remain open. This is also the case overseas, even where they are at higher alert levels and restrictions.
What changes can I expect?
We are playing our part in helping control the spread of the virus by encouraging customers to visit the branch less frequently and to use internet banking and their Visa Debit card where possible.
We have changed the layout of the branch to help remind people of the social distancing requirements, keeping a distance of 1.5metres from each other. This is for your protection as well as ours and we ask you to understand and respect it.
We also ask that customers are aware of other customers in the branch and apply the same social distancing requirements where possible.
We are minimising the number of staff working on the counter. This may result in some delays in getting served for which we apologise, we believe your good health is worth a little wait.
